Love Rockfishes, Thornyheads, Gadiforms, and all denizens of the deep, as well as everything up shallow, particularly Wrasses, Sea Chubs, Blennies, and Kelpfishes.

Hoping to help fill some of the gaps in ID photos for rarer species, especially Rockfish by exploring the deep via hook and line.

SCAS RTP finalist, some volunteer experience at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and Aquarium of The Pacific and 5-year assistant in the Cabrillo Coastal Park Survey. Pretty proficient in Rockfishes and currently researching identification methods for cryptic species in Southern California. Otherwise pretty good at IDing most California fish but Oligocottus and Icelinus are still my weaknesses.
