He/him🏳️‍🌈. Grew up in Massachusetts, lived in Indiana for three years, now living in Virginia. MS Student at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science researching the population structure of algae.

Huge fan of all life, but especially the kinds that I can get a good picture of. I did my undergraduate thesis on Desmidiaceae, and am moderately knowledgeable at identifying them (mostly to genus, sometimes to species). Outside the wonderful world of algae I have a little experience with North Atlantic shorebirds but am mostly a casual identifier and observer.
