Native plant gardening enthusiast/habitat advocate/land steward documenting biodiversity in my garden and in both cultivated gardens and natural areas in the Lancaster County and Chester County area.

My native plant gardening journey started in 2019. I was amazed and delighted and the amount of biodiversity in my landscape after converting 90% of the lawn plus 3 garden beds into a native plant habitat. From 2019 until 2022 saw a significant increase in both pollinators and birds as documented in my observations in my tiny semi-rural duplex.
I now live on 3.8 acres of a woodland property working on removing invasives and restoring the woodland, while also adding native plants to the already established garden beds (which had been previously planted with invasives). Already with the small changes to the surrounding landscape biodiversity around the house has increased significantly.

I've been documenting my journey on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mo0nsgreenthumb
