I am an extremely amateur but very keen observer, researcher, and collector of data. After discovering that my early studies in coat and skin genetics have a parallel in birds and plants, I became fascinated by the way that we define taxa and what makes one species unique from another. I've since learned to write research reports and contribute whenever possible to citizen data pools in order to play my small part.

I am especially interested in mosses, lichens, protozoans, and amphibians. Am redoing my office to enable me to study and catalogue microscope samples!
