My work as an ecologist allows me to work both in the UK and abroad. Always learning and still fascinated by all things nature has created. My favourite terrestrial UK habitat is the blanket bogs of Scotland. Abroad, there is so much choice, but the gypsum steppes are up there along with the alpine zone.
Although my professional life is generally land based, I have a keen interest in all things marine too, working as a Seasearch tutor for the Marine conservation society and diving most weekends (when in the UK) off the Northumbrian coast.
