@tigerbb I'm stumped on this for some reason. In my yard.
Same analysis as http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/1634381. This time at a much sandier site.

Actually being arboreal for once!
One of several large, gravid (?) individuals we found.
"An insect made in the 80s" according to one member of our party. Despite spending some time trying to get the exposure right to capture the glow and the animal, I still failed to get the head in focus. Oi.
Came upon this lizard while doing a bird survey. It was on a trail and looked like it had been in an altercation or had been run over or stepped on. It had blood on one side of it's face like it had shot at something.
Happy moss week!
This moss was found growing on a pile of ashes the fire-place from several winters ago. :)
Terrain perturbé pour la construction résidentielle
Elizabeth and I went over to Stella Rowen Prairie -- it's a neat place. :)
I was driving central market for a cooking class... Promoting hunting and wild game and whatnot. Spotted some crazy flowers at this park, so I just HAD to stop! :)
This morning, I went on the challenge to find a salamander! I found one in this spot, thanks to Corey and Mallory, last year... Took me a while, but yep! Found one!
Fortunately, I found some other cool stuff too. :)

Observed while Elizabeth was in Thomas Sewing Center in Mesquite. Potentially a nice park, but far too mowed... :-/
At lunch, I explored this line of trees next to a plot for sale.

After I presented to the Dallas Baptist University's Tri-Beta club on nature education, I went to this little park instead of getting lunch. It was a little bit of a run down park, but I still noticed some nature. :)
This morning, I went more towards north Fort Worth -- I don't spend too much time up there. I spent a little bit of time at Buffalo Ridge Park -- this park had a really nice trail next to Big Fossil Creek. Spotted some neat things today. :)
Medium size mushroom, red speckled cap, white stem, suspect a type of amanita unsure which.
Which type of grass?
At lunch I parked by the Animal Clinic and walked around just a bit.
I wish I could figure out the species of wolf spiders in TX... There's bound to be a lot of them...
Saw this Great Blue Heron in the Mixed Evergreen Forest near Creek Access #5
After a sandwich lunch, I went to this little spot to look for bugs. Looks like it was a dried pond or something...
I'll study this cool little hoverfly later.
