On October 18th, at around 2 PM - 2:30 PM, I went on a walk through the area by the reservoir and saw several different things. I went with a friend, and we tried to find every type of plant (Bryophyta, Polypodiopsida, Gymnosperms, and Angiosperms). The weather was quite warm for October and I believe was around the 60s. We ended up finding a type of moss known as the Seductive Entodon Moss which is a Bryophyta. Then, we found a Hay-scented Fern which is a polypodiopsida. Then, we found an Eastern White Pine which is a gymnosperm. We then were struggling to find a flowering plant or an angiosperm, so on the way of looking for one, I took an observation of a Maple tree. Then, finally we found a sort of angiosperm known as the spotted Lady's thumb. Overall, the walk was very enjoyable and we found a lot of interesting observations.

This was the same walk as before with the first observations. We went into the newton woods by the newton campus of BC and the weather was a little rainy and we saw several different species, but the fungi were much harder to find. We had to look very closely into different logs, or on trees, etc. Overall, we were able to find 5 different species of fungi. When I say the same walk as before, two of my friends and I walked together in the woods.

I was walking with a couple friends in the newton woods on newton campus and the weather was in the 70s and a little bit rainy. We saw a bunch of different organisms, but we decided to try and find the most interesting ones relating to those different types of mosses, the squirrel, and those flowers. It was very nostalgic to go back to the newton woods as my friends and I would love to walk there all the time.
