For my field assignment, I went to Anthony Chabot Regional Park Oakland, CA, US. There, I saw many oak trees and crows. I saw a wild turkey walking on the trail and it was very pretty. There were rivers and pine trees around the regional park. The conifers help plants and animals grow as a whole food chain.

Journal 2

My second hike was that I went to Reinhardt Redwood in Oakland and was amazed with the amount of plants, animals, and redwood trees in Oakland. The redwood trees amazed me because of how tall they were. The weather was great with birds chirping and the wind blowing low. Many types of plants were growing such as Genus Acacia and Myosotis latifolia. They were beautiful colors and the organisms around them excited me. There were also many people at the area hiking to look at the redwood forest. The trail was very straightforward but tiring as the redwood forest was dark. The shading made the scene more dark as those trees are tall and can block out the sun with their leaves.
