Hayward Regional Shoreline

There were many plants I recognized that that I remembered seeing in the previous modules like barley and the orange bush monkeyflower. It also has a complex ecosystem of shallow water and mud flats, salt marshes, freshwater ponds, dry diked areas, and grassy uplands. When walking, I felt like it was a grass uplands as up on the top where I took pictures. there was that seems to be orange flowers, they were beautiful, and it was a nice hot day. Most of the plants I noticed were the kinds that could tolerate not having much water and I was surprised to see salt barley.

Hayward plunge trail

Hayward Plunge Trail is a riparian forest with lots of thing I never saw before like mushrooms growing from the ground I was stepping on, a creek in the middle of the riparian forest, and help control sediment, reduce the damaging effects of flooding as well as aid in stabilizing stream banks. There were plants growing near the creek/stream bank.
