Fort Funston

Fort Funston's ecosystem is a dynamic and biodiverse environment that supports a wide range of plant and animal life. The inland areas, which is where I took my photos of Fort Funston, are characterized by coastal scrub and grasslands, and native flowers. These habitats support a diverse array of plant species, including coastal sagebrush, coyote brush, and various grasses. Fort Funston is also home to several endangered and threatened species, including the western snowy plover and the San Francisco garter snake. Conservation efforts are underway to protect these vulnerable species and their habitats. if you have a chance to visit, this coastal ecosystem boasts a variety of plant life that is just a beautiful site to see!
