For this nature walk, I went to the Boston Public Gardens before going out to see a movie. This nature walk was done during a calm, sunny day, with many people enjoying their walks around the park. Most if not all of the plants at the public gardens are captive, but it did allow me to get examples of many different types of plants (i.e. ferns, angiosperms). I could not find any mosses around, as they are more likely to grow in dark, damp areas, so i substituted in an eastern gray squirrel.

For this nature walk, I went back to the reservoir. This time however, I went deeper into the woods around the reservoir to find the fungi I was searching for. It was a cold, windy day, but still bright enough outside to see where I was going and what I was looking for. Most of the fungi I found was on the different dead trees that happened to be laying around, which makes sense as many fungi have the ability to break down the lignin in trees.

Took a walk by the Res on Friday. It was nice weather, and there were many birds that were in the reservoir itself. The amount of plant diversity that is possible to discover by the Res is large, as there are many paths that lead deeper into a wooded area that are quite accessible to most people.
