An 8am-11am heavily overcast morning hike, sun did not come out and we were walking through mist near the reservoir and along the Black Forest Trail. Lost of perennial bushes flowering, most of the annual wildflowers were done besides lupine. We saw a coyote from a peak near the ranch house ruins looking across the valley towards Kouba Trail/Black Forest (still waiting for companion's high zoom photos, mine were blobs).

Spotted but not photographed because zoom zoom instincts: Quail and various smol birbs & flying bugs.
