I am lucky enough to live in a unique area bounded by Olney State Forest, Yengo National Park and the Watagan Mountains. Since moving here 12 months ago, I’ve been captured by the diversity of species, incredible beauty across the seasons, and the evident ecological harmony which exists here.

All of the fauna I have seen, many IDed here, show plump, thriving colonies of wildlife, breeding and successfully raising young, living in the forest and woodland habitats which remain largely untouched here.

At the beginning of June 2024, I knew nothing about plants. I still know nothing about plants, but I am trying to cram in as much knowledge as I can. I appreciate everyone’s help, I am now completely captured by flora.

Note: I am officially sick of bush peas and wattles.
