I'm a PhD student at the Florida Museum of Natural History studying the Loammi skipper (Atrytonopsis loammi), an imperiled Florida butterfly. My research will examine ecology, population genetics, and genomics questions with the goal to inform management and aid the species' recovery.

I grew up in North Florida and still enjoy tromping around the Apalachicola National Forest, Wacissa, Aucilla, and Apalachicola Rivers, Torreya State Park, and the Forgotten Coast. I also spent about 5 years living in Portland, Oregon and working as an environmental educator and outreach director. During my time there, I fell in love with Mt. Hood, the Columbia Gorge, and the Oregon Coast. I'm excited to be back home studying ecology and exploring more of Florida!
