Chiliarchum guerini guerini (Haag-Rutenberg, 1871)

Large, black, thorax wide, sides rounded, almost heart-shaped, finely punctuated, with two impressions at the base on both sides, impressions more distant from the anterior angle than in species bertolonii, margin and impressions whitish tomentose.
Elytra elongate, indistinct tricarinate, the interstices finely scabrous, the margin and apex whitish tomentose. In contrast to the species bertolonii, the granulations on the elytra do not leave the ribs exposed, but extend almost over the entire elytral surface.
Tip of scutellum free of granulations.

(The two known above treated large species [bertolonii & guerini] have hitherto been described as belonging to one species and regarded as male and female of the same. But they are two completely separate, good species, and it is likely that this has not yet been recognized is probably due to the fact that the describers only had an insufficient number of specimens at their disposal.)
