Head with blackish brown markings. Antennomeres I–V yellowish orange, VI to XI dark brown.
Pronotum yellow, with a large, four-lobed black mark resting on the posterior edge, the central lobes expand forward and bend somewhat outwards, while the shorter lateral lobes are plump , shaped liketruncated triangles and maintain an oblique outward direction right from the start. The black mark may be interrupted and appear as two black bands.
Elytra glabrous, yellow, with black markings (two black wavy angled cross bands which are connected along the suture).
Abdomen black. Legs yellow.
Length 4-5 mm.

Distribution: South Africa (common in the Western Cape, also recorded from Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Mpumalanga).
