Chazeauiana nylanderi (Mulsant 1850) [=Afrocleta nylanderi]

A member of the former Epilachna sahlbergi group with irregular net-like variable markings on the elytra and a very thick and coarse pubescence obscuring the dark pattern on pronotum and elytra.

Oval; of a tawny testaceous colour and with with ashy grey pubescence.
Prothorax with four or five black spots, usually united, one antescutellar, and three or four, in a transverse row. Elytra decorated with a sutural border embracing the sides of scutellum and extended until 1/4, and with nine black subpunctiform spots: the first and second, subbasal: the third, fourth and fifth, in a row or in a transverse angular arched band, towards 1/4; the sixth subdiscal; the seventh and eighth, in a transverse row at 4/7; the ninth, discal at 4/5. Black belly.
