Anomalipus dentipes (Fabricius 1794)

Large to medium in size, broadly oblong. Pronotum very densely and finely punctate. Elytral lateral
margins parallel or finely arcuate and subparallel, elytral surface densely and finely granular; carination of elytra entirely absent, or one to seven carinae indicated by lines of small granules. Anterior tibia deeply emarginate preapically in males, intermediate tibia simple.

Black, earthy-pollineous, shiny underneath; prothorax enlarged, laterally depressed, convex above, densly punctate, with four minute smooth spots in the middle of the disc; elytra convex, with parallel sides, apex rounded at the joint, densly granulated and with two obliterated lines in each elytron; anterior tibiae barely arched, apical spine strong, posterior tibiae slightly bent inwards.
