Discomyza similis Lamb, 1912

A tiny blackish-greyish fly with shiny thorax and dark small antennae, wings partially infuscated, halters dark with white knob, legs mostly black, tarsi of mid- and hindlegs yellowish.

Discomyza larvae develop in a variety of terrestrial or maritime snails.
